Using Learning Interactions in HTML4

om shanti : motivational speaker

Hello,

I am relatively new to Captivate 2019 and am having issues with using the Learning Interactions published to HTML5. I am able to view the interactions in preview, but when published I get a blank white screen and the widgets require downloading.

To test this out, I added the accordion interaction to one slide and the button interaction to another, plus a ‘next’ button. No changes to the content, formatting, etc. for either interaction. Very straight-forward.

I am working on a Windows machine, Chrome and/or Edge. Captivate info: 2019 11.5.5.553.

Are there specific settings/requirements for the learning interactions to work in HTML5?

What other information can I provide?

Thanks,

Terry

Formatting for Mobile

om shanti : motivational speaker

I am fairly new to Captivate and am developing a course that will be viewed on both desktop and mobile.

I created a software a simulation and saved as responsive. Those slides work great.

I added a Title slide before the start of the simulation. The images on the title slide are all wonky when I preview it with Live Preview on Devices. The formatting is messed up. (I am also adding Knowledge check slides.)

What do I need to do so that the title slide displays correctly when viewed on a mobile device?

Thank you!

Steph

Greyed out results slides in assets

om shanti : motivational speaker

Hello

Can anyone help.  I have been on this for 2 hours!  I made my first course using and editing slides from the assets options.  I added a Results slide but I then deleted it…or so I thought.  I went to add one in again from the assets tab, but ALL results template slides are now greyed out for me in all themes.  I cannot click on it to add, however I can add all other slides from all themes as normal….its just the results slides.

I have tried copying the slide I want from a downloaded project, but no right click copy option…but I can copy all other slides.  I am well and truly access denied.

When I look at the master view, I am mote confused than ever as it does not seem to correlate to my project at all.  There is a results slide in there but I cannot see it / find it even hidden in the film strip view.

I have tried starting all over again – still greyed out

Re installing assets – still grey out.

Can anyone help?  I am too much of a novice to make one from scratch yet.

Thank you!

Physics-based interactions?

om shanti : motivational speaker

Captivate has so many interesting applications and features.

Drag and Drop
Click to Reveal
Hotspot Interactions

I am curious if any sort of physics based interactions for objects are, or will be made available one day. One object rejecting another, or two objects engaged in a magnetic type of interaction. Or allowing more free and interesting movement between objects. While those properties are not traditional for elearning, the gamification of elearning with captivate might benefit from this sort of feature. Does anyone have any thoughts or information about this?

Thank you
